favorite lines

Like music, movie lines can deeply resonate with your psyche. Here are some of my favorites. What are some of your favorites? List them in the comments below!

sneezing ~ Singles

Cameron Crowe’s films have some of the best lines, and the sneezing scene from Singles is no exception, as Matt Dillon (Cliff Poncier) nails this one with Bridget Fonda. (Janet Livermore) and I must not forget Eddy Vedder’s debut role.

Breakup ~ chasing amy

May this scene be a lesson for anyone that can’t let go of shit from their past experiences? The past has nothing to do with what the person is doing in the present moment. Actions speak louder than words. If you feel the need to dig shit up from someone’s past, grow the fuck up because it has nothing to do with what the person is doing now. (stepping down)

opening Scene ~ blood simple

It is not a secret that the Coen Brothers are the most underrated team of Directors, Producers, and writers in the movie industry. Their sophomore film Blood Simple is a prime example; most have no idea the gem exists. The camera angles appear to be shot in 3D; this makes this film an underrated masterpiece, not to mention the script and storyline complete this cinematic gem.

The Coen Brothers received their love with the follow-up FARGO, which also had a very dark storyline but lacked the cinematography that Blood Simple had. Thanks to M. Emmet Walsh for his narration for this scene, as well as his flawless part as the Con Artist Private Investigator.

I gave her my heart; she gave me a pen ~ say anything

Another classic Cameron Crowe flick is the infamous Say Anything.  Most would say the boombox scene with Peter Gabrial’s “In Your Eyes” is the best scene, which it is. However, my favorite is the “I gave her my heart…” scene.

gas and sip ~ Say Anything

Say Anything is packed with gems, including the “Gas and Sip” scene, as this one speaks for itself.

blow jobs ~ Fast Times At Ridgemont High

I wasn’t lying when I said Cameron Croowe owned the ’80s movie industry, hence, another classic scene from CC
