what is god?

the loving guy in the sky:

Have we been programmed that God is this loving guy in the sky that watches over his creation and everything in it? Yet, people blame God when shit goes wrong in their life, like the loss of a newborn child, disease, famine, homelessness, losing material possessions, death, natural disaster, car accidents, traffic jams, and not waking up for work on time; you get the point.

A different perspective:

Humans are a species of complainers. I am confident that tigers don’t blame other preditors for the lack of food; instead, what do tigers do? They move to another area for a better chance to capture their prey. Tigers realize that to eat; they need to be on the prowl. With that said, why does it seem this reality is based on death, disease, and killing? Perhaps, to whatever runs this reality, everything is objective to it? When you play a video game, do you give a shit about everything around you? No, you only care about your character; everything else is irrelevant, including all innocent bystanders that get in the way. I’m confident that’s why this place seems evil because we have been programmed to hold a view of what is good and evil. However, what might be evil to you isn’t evil to someone else. For instance, one might think that abortion is bad, but the person having the abortion, or performing it, is okay with it. We have been programmed to project our beliefs onto others, thus making everything either good or evil, but in reality, nothing is good or evil; it’s all relative, hence the reason it exists; thus, the philosophy of indifference; once you let go of your perspective, you become truly free.
