overrated guitarist
This is my list of some of the most overrated guitarists in rock, as fans and critics gush over them. Most of them have had massive albums and been in some of the best bands in history.
*Please note, these are in no particular order because overrated can’t have a numerical sequence.

Before you get your shit in a knot, hear me out. I’m not going to lie; Jimmy Page is a fantastic guitarist, but is he really, or have you been brainwashed into thinking so? Okay, the guy plays with a bow, which is fucking incredible. However, Eddy Van Halen used a fucking drill on Poundcake, not to mention the little rhythm guitar riff he did in the hook; it was simply brilliant, not to say he did a technical variation in every piece. On the other hand, Jimmy never had any memorable solo riffs, okay, a couple in Dazed and Confused and Whole Lotta Love. Otherwise, his sound isn’t extraordinary (although distinctive) like his peers.
