the moon

burning question

What is the moon? What is its purpose? Have we been there? Is it a light? A reflection, if so, what is it a reflection of? Why does it have a 28-day cycle? Why does it give off blue light? Is that why two full moons in a month are called a “Blue Moon?”

Here’s what AI has to say about the moon“I can provide information on the moon. The moon’s gravitational pull affects tides and stabilizes earth’s rotation, making it significant. Humans have landed on the moon, with the first landing in 1969. The moon appears bright in the night sky because it reflects sunlight. It takes 28 days for the moon to orbit earth, resulting in its 28-day cycle. The “Blue Moon” phenomenon, in which two full moons occur in a month, is not blue, despite its name.” Huh, interesting. This must be correct since AI is the “Absolute Truth,” right? This proves to me that AI, like computer programs, is as good as the individuals that program it, that it’s all part of the narrative.

I don’t know

Here is my take on the whole moon thing. Honestly, I have no idea what the moon is or its purpose. However, I can only base my opinion on my perception. It appears to give off its own light, which seems to be blue, which is very apparent during a full moon. The moon also appears to be a reflection of the earth, not the sun, as the sun gives off a white light; thus, the reflection wouldn’t be blue, or would it?

Back to my perception of the moon being a reflection of the earth. During a full moon, the moon’s dark sections look like they could be the continents, and the lighter areas are the oceans. This theory was pointed out to me when I was 12 by a friend’s grandfather, who was in his nineties at the time, and, unlike today’s teenagers, I respected his opinion, not because he was 90, but because I could see it was very plausible.

Another perception is that the moon looks like a luminary; thus, it is not a place you go; thus, I’m confident the moon landing wouldn’t be possible. This goes for the moon controlling the tides, as in my mind, a luminary wouldn’t be unable to do such a thing. Perhaps something else can influence the tides; since the oceans are salt water, another source may control them.
